A Ripple in the Sky

The Gods look down from on High

Is it possible to imagine?
That the Gods of Olympus,
Are they looking down on us?
It is that hard to believe,
That somewhere in time,
Where myths and legends lie,
Gods exist, just like you and I?

I saw a ripple in the sky,
It was a flock of birds,
Flying free across the sky.
There was a silver shimmer,
Very slight like a tiny glimmer.
The eyelids of the Goddess fluttered,
Like the gossamer wings of a butterfly.
Did I imagine the ripple in the sky?

There was a shining light in the sky,
As the God of Creation opened an Eye.
When both eyes opened to illuminate the Earth,
It was the dawn of a new creation and a new birth.
The Goddess was adorned with her lovely floral finery,
While the farmers collected grapes for the winery.
There was a glimmer, a flutter and a ripple in the sky,
The miracle of life is a gift that keeps giving, from on high.
