The soft grass caresses our feet,
It cools our bodies from the heat.
As we walk one step at a time,
We enjoy our growth in every climb.
We are new to this world so sacred,
We hold it in our young hearts,
We call this world our new home.
We crawl around like young children,
Free from hardships and from sin.
We walk, then run and we roam,
On this planet and world, we call home.
Our minds are like green, green grass,
Filled with our wild imagination and promise.
As a child, we walk on green grassland,
As adults, we walk on desert sand.
Our minds which were once so fertile,
Are now as arid as a wide desert plain.
Our minds thirst for something more,
To make it bloom once again for sure.
The mind of a child is so rich and alive,
It is possible to swim, fly and dive.
The mind of an adult is so dark and bleak,
Filled with more than a cruel streak,
So dry like a desert devoid of rain.
We need to nourish our minds,
To bring it back to life once again.
As a child, we walk on green grassland.
As adults, we walk on sharp desert sand.
Let us open our minds and imagine,
The joys and triumphs of every win.
Our minds can conjure worlds from sand,
Our words can build empires well planned.
