Being Away
Is it time to go back?
As we go through life,
We forget a few of the places,
We forget a few of the things we enjoy.
We also forget a few people who matter.
Sometimes life does appear to shatter,
Leaving us busy and mad as a hatter.
Being away from things that matter,
Is not what you need to be doing in life.
Being away from family and friends,
Can leave a vacuum in your heart and mind.
Connect once again and to yourself be kind.
Being away from places that are special,
Can make you feel something is missing.
Do what you enjoy, live, dance and sing?
Go back to all things that make you happy.
Go back to those old familiar places and things.
Set your life and imagination free,
Let that freedom give you strength and wings.
We need to remember the good old times.
Enjoying memories and the past is not a crime.
Sometimes being away is what we need to do.
Being away from the past could be good for you.
Your beating heart and soul are not carved in wood.
Your life matters and to yourself be good.
