The Roman poet Horace said the words,
“Carpe Diem” or “Pluck the Day”.
That phrase now means “to seize the Day”.
People who live this philosophy in life,
Would not have it any other way.
Enjoy today, before it slowly sails away.
Carpe Diem! Carpe Diem! Carpe Diem!
I would imagine that Horace,
That great poet of ancient Rome,
Must have watched a vineyard,
As he walked around near his home.
He saw ripe grapes in the vineyard grow,
The best ones were collected fast, never slow.
Carpe Diem! Carpe Diem! Carpe Diem!
A day is like a grape that is ripe,
Filled with the sweetest juice.
A day is like delicious fermented wine,
That always tastes best over time.
A day is filled with golden opportunities,
That can fill oceans, lakes and silver seas.
Carpe Diem! Carpe Diem! Carpe Diem!
Make the most of your life, “Carpe Diem”.
It will get richer and better in time.
Choose your life path, “Carpe Diem”,
You will taste the fruits of success,
Like a rich and well matured wine.
This is your moment and your time.
Carpe Diem! Carpe Diem! Carpe Diem!
Pluck the day is better. Too much seizing leads to seizures.
Cadence clips and I sip fine wine by garden table. Grape vines leave no other choice but after seizing the day to watch sunset rays rouge warm ways through glasses and toast to friends.
