The month of June is filled with so many events and festivals. Every writer needs to decide what he or she is going to write about. It is by creating articles, stories and poems relevant to a particular theme can you get more readers, as well as develop the art and craft of writing.

I am going to focus on Music, the Earth and Father’s Day this month. I have always loved music since I was a child. I recall the times when I would play my music at home, dance and study to my favourite songs. The Earth has always fascinated me, as it is from the Earth that we are created and it is back to the soil of creation that we return. The cycle of life and of souls continues.
The Earth is such a large celestial body, that we humans are like ants and cannot be seen from outer space. The land masses, the water bodies are visible to astronauts in their space shuttles. Yet, although we human begins are so tiny, we are capable of causing such global devastation that is simply unimaginable.

My father, has always loved writing and continues to do so today. He never stops writing. The earliest memories I have of my father are of him sitting at his writing desk doing his work, till late at night. My dad used to write stories for children and he would visit schools to teach creative writing, using the medium of stories. I have been greatly influenced by my dad, Melvyn Brown.

June is the month when you can write about the person, who made an impact on your life, if he was your father or someone who acted as a father to you growing up. There are so many traits that we exhibit in life, that usually can be traced back to a person or persons, who had major influences on our lives.
Have a wonderful June and write about something that really interests you. You can always look up a list of the global events, festivals and write about them, include your reactions and how you can relate to those events. How will you as a writer define the month of June, through your writings, podcast and on social media?
