There are some people who enjoy reading your work,
They subscribe to receive more of your work.
There are some people who do not really enjoy your work,
They subscribe to your newsletter because it was recommended.
Subscribe to my newsletter, go ahead and join up fast.
This great feeling and news burst will end very fast.
Over the course of a day, a week and a month,
You will see that your subscribers just drift away.
Do not worry and stress yourself out,
There are always more subscribers hanging about.
Subscribers are very precious and so very rare.
A loyal subscriber is very hard and difficult to compare.
Why do subscribers slowly fade away every day?
It could be that they do not like your content,
Your writing style does not rock their boat.
Do not feel depressed, let your hope float.
If you happen to be very prolific with your work,
It can sometimes be a hindrance and not a perk.
There are subscribers who just cannot take on so much,
It is like speaking several languages, from Sanskrit to Dutch.
Is it good to chase away some subscribers?
To sort the wheat from the chaff from your list.
The loyal ones will cling on as your true readers,
They do not mind, as they read all your work.
To lose subscribers, create substandard content,
That could be a hit and increase your numbers.
To win subscribers, just be yourself and write your mind.
Your paid subscribers could increase exponentially,
You will be earning a great income online, you will find.

Love the poetry Warren!🙏🏾🐱🙏🏾🐱🙏🏾😎🐾
I feel the writing field is very competitive both here and on Medium - also a lot of ppl leave and become inactive - I would say it is important to actively engage in order to increase visibility - that way new followers and subscribers come in - I am not very active on Substack but I do try to engage with my friends here :)
