Do you write positive stuff during the day and scary stuff at night?

There are some writers who can write the scariest stories during the night, while others prefer to write horror stories at night. Are you one of these writers, or could you write a scary story, at any time of the day?

A number of writers are inspired by the day and write stories accordingly. If there is sunshine on a particular day, they will write stories filled with love, peace and positivity. If the day is cloudy, dark and stormy, the writer will create a story, that reflects the atmosphere he or she is experiencing, like an Edgar Allan Poe horror story.

I do not let the weather affect me as a writer in most cases. I can write a serious story or a lighter story at any time of the day. On the other hand, there are days and nights, when I allow the weather to inspire me and the content I am creating.

I must admit, we do get inspired by our surroundings and the latest news of the day, when we as writers sit down to write, allowing our imagination and creativity to reign supreme. Do you allow the weather to inspire you as you sit down to write your latest work, or do you create your own ideal environment in the realm of your imagination?
