February 4th- A Day for Renewing the Battle Against Cancer, Yorkshire Pudding and Sweaters
Networking, Feeding Tube, and the Boy Scouts Anniversary Week

Take a slice of roast beef,
and place it on your Yorkshire pudding,
Next, add a spoonful of rich gravy.
It is the 4th of February today,
A day to celebrate Yorkshire Pudding Day.
The battle against Cancer continues,
the 4th of February is when the battle,
The commitment against it renews.
Prepare a delicious homemade soup,
Fill it with vegetables and colors of delight,
The family will enjoy the taste and the sight.
Wear a colorful Sweater today,
As you munch on the tastiest stuffed mushrooms.
Today is Stuffed Mushroom Day.
Enjoy those mushrooms in a spicy way.
The postman comes once,
He or she comes twice,
He or she comes every day of the year.
Today is “Thank a Mail Carrier Day”.
Tell them a big “Thank you “ today.
If you have a jerk in your life,
One of those cheating ones.
The 4th of February is the day,
When you dump the jerk anyway.
We network to widen our connections,
We network for a larger outreach.
The 4th of February is Networking Day,
Having great communication does pay.
Take care of her beating heart,
It is “Women’s Heart Health Week”.
It also happens to be “Feeding Tube Week”,
To give strength to those who are ill and weak.
Remember the Boy Scouts and their views,
Their useful training for young men continues.
The 4th of February is “Boy Scouts Anniversary Week”,
Honor, Loyalty, and “Be Prepared” in this life they seek.
We have all suffered from burns,
At some time in our lives.
The 4th of February is “Burn Awareness Week”,
To heal blisters and wounds is what we will seek.
Poet’s Note: This poem is dedicated to my father Melvyn Brown who passed away last year. Dad was a great “King Scout” and he always said that he was a better man due to his years of training as a Boy Scout.
