Happy Birthday, to Dad in Heaven
Thinking of my parents in Heaven
Today is the 5th of March, a special day.
It would have been my Dad’s 85th Birthday.
Dad passed away last year in June.
This is the first Birthday in Heaven.
I can faintly hear a “Happy Birthday” tune.
Happy Birthday Dad, I can happily say.
Have a wonderful day today and every day.
I am sure that there is a large party,
Taking place at your home in eternity.
A soul that is happy to be once again free.
Enjoy your time with Mum,
I know that you were both apart,
For so many years, and it was painful.
A couple with one soul and beating heart.
Love is more than a relationship, it is art.
I am sure all your family and friends,
Are with you Dad, to celebrate,
At a party that never needs to end.
Good times with parents, family and friend.
A birthday celebration without an end.
Happy Birthday, Dad, my mentor and guide.
I send my prayers to Heaven on this special day.
I light candles in verse and on altars in prayer.
Farewell, Dad, my mentor and guide, till we meet again.
You are in my heart, in all seasons, sunshine and rain.
