The old year is almost on its way out. The New Year is almost upon us. We still have the festive holiday season and Christmas, if we are Christians. The present year is about to gradually slip away from us, like sand slipping through our fingers, it passes us, as elusive as time itself.
Years ago, I would not think too much about the year that I was moving towards. Later in life I realized, that it is important to have a few achievable goals in mind, so that we have something to look forward to in the New Year. I agree that all our best laid plans may not materialize, but it is still always good to have them in place for a more suitable time, when we can achieve them.
Every year, I look forward to the New Year with plans to write more creative and imaginative materials, on blogs, or on my website. I look forward to publishing more fiction books, a minimum of two a year, and if I can publish more than two that is an achievement for me.
I look forward to plant positive seeds in the minds of my readers and fellow writers. Seeds of inspiration and creativity that will be positive fruits of change in our chaotic world. I also think about my father, who was a great literary “seed planter” and who wrote a lot of materials during his lifetime, always with the intention of bringing about positive changes in our world. Three Cheers, to you Dad!!! How do you prepare for the New Year? Do you have a literary planner or do you just wait for things to happen in the New Year. Have a wonderful festive season and an awesome New Year.
Glad you wrote about this - I need to sit down and do my end of year plus new year reflection 💙
