Mum and Dad, does it rain in heaven,
Or is it always sunny and bright?
I wonder if there is always daylight,
With no sign of darkness and night.
Dearest Dad and Mum in Heaven,
I think of you both a lot it is true.
I know that you are both happy together,
Living in peace, in love, with joy, forever.
Perhaps it does not rain in heaven,
Like it does here in our troubled world.
There are no tears to be shed in Heaven,
Like there are so many tears in our world.
There may not be lightning and thunder,
In that world beyond the stars called Heaven.
Do birds fly in that world of peace, like Angels do?
The power my love keeps me close to both of you.
Poet’s Note: A poem in memory of my mother Joan and my father, Melvyn who passed away three months ago.
I also wonder about these things, Warren.
A beautiful poem. ❤🙏
