There are busy days, when you need to use your mind, every time to sort out issues, at work or at home. There are also days when you may not have a lot of mental activity. Those are the days you need to gear up for the times when you have to contend with a lot of thinking stuff to complete.
Is a tired mind a relaxed mind? I would say that a tired mind is one that is perfect for meditation. I have noticed that when I try to meditate a number of stray thoughts enter my mind. Each thought is like a seed that branches into more thoughts and ideas, until I am thinking about other topics. On the other-hand when my mind and body is exhausted after doing a lot of thinking work, I am able to relax and meditate easily.
It has been said by neuroscientists that the mind is plastic and it can be stretched to retain a diverse amount of knowledge. There are days, when I feel mentally stretched, like my mind has been taken to extreme ends of thoughts and this is the time for me to just site down, relax or better still to have a long nap. I do awake the next day or after a few hours, feeling refreshed and mentally invigorated.
Have you ever had the experience of a tired mind, when you cannot think another thought? Perhaps, you have a simple exercise to make you feel mentally alert. When a mind cannot be stretched any more it needs to stop and come back to its original form and shape. But, then again, you may say, does the mind have a shape? I guess not, a mind is something that cannot be seen. The more we absorb mentally, we stretch our minds to accept more knowledge and information, to enhance our life experience.
