The Earth may never recover from the damage,
That mankind has caused to the Earth.
That may never happen,
Yet, we can only hope,
As we find a way to cope.
Poverty may never be eradicated,
The poor will get poorer,
As the rich get steadily richer.
That may never happen in life.
Yet, we can only hope and pray,
That greed will be overcome someday.
Wars will never end it seems.
A world without battles and wars,
Exists in the realm of dreams.
Yet, we can hope and pray,
That justice and peace,
Will somehow find a way.
This may never happen in time,
It is possible only in verse and rhyme.
The magic potion of immortality,
May never be found.
Creation moves in cycles,
From the air to the fertile ground. As mortal we will always roam,
While we call the Earth our home.
Finding peace and tranquility,
May never happen we can see,
Our souls are blessed with immortality.
