Life and Legacy of Melvyn Brown

A tribute to my father, Melvyn Brown

Melvyn Brown, was a writer, poet, Founder of a Lay Roman Catholic movement in India, Leader and Chronicler of the Anglo-Indian Community in India and known by Anglo-Indians all over the world.

Anglo-Indians are the ethnic minority community, which originated in India during colonial rule, over four hundred years ago. When British or European men, who were soldiers or merchants or clerks had affairs or married Indian women, their offspring came to be known as Anglo-Indians or Eurasians.

Anglo-Indians are the only community in India, whose mother tongue is English, are Christian and follow a Western culture.
