The week started with rain here in London. The roads were wet and the sound of rainfall was the melody for most days this week. This led me to visualize a frog sitting in a pond on a rainy day. The frog needs to live his life and go and find some food. The droplets of rain do not prevent him from moving around the pond. Every drop is like a bullet to his skin. This inspired me to write the poem, "The Bullet Proof Frog".
There are so many of us who would like to do the work we enjoy. Sometimes these are just dreams. I thought about the movie "Ratatouille" about a rat who wanted to be a chef in a fancy French restaurant in Parish. This idea inspired me to write, "The Rat Who Sliced and Diced as a Chef".
A few of us have a funny bone, while most of us do not have time for laughter or comedy. Christmas and the weeks leading up the the big day can be stressful for many as they tie up loose ends at work, before the holidays. In this mix come the marketers who want you to buy something from them, or users online who want you to connect for a bigger purpose, like telling you how to make a quick buck how to connect to the hot date of your dreams or how to get scores of clients every week. This inspired me the create the outrageous Christmas memes in the article, "Finding Your Humour This Christmas".
Thinking about dreams and the movie "Inception" with Leonardo Di Caprio, inspired me to write, "Land of Dreams", and "Maya the Creator". While the idea of an architect constructing dreams led me to create, " A Bridge Across Eternity".
Reading about the Greek myths inspired me to write the poem, "The Gods Favour" and the latest movie "Gladiator", which got me thinking about the Colosseum. The games that were held in that arena and compared to life as a game in an arena like the Colosseum, where every step needs to be trodden carefully, across tests, challenges, and obstacles to eventually meet failure or to taste the sweet honey of victory. "The Colosseum of Life" was composed to reflect those thoughts and ideas.
I hope that you enjoy this collection of my writings, this Sunday. Have a great weekend and a super week ahead.
