On the 6th of August, 79 years ago,
Two nuclear bombs were detonated,
Over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we know.
Those bombs ended World War II.
Wars have been fought for centuries.
Children have lost their lives in every story.
Thousands have lost their parents.
The wars continue unabated in history.
The orphans of a thousand wars,
Weep as they look at the battlefield.
Lost young souls can never think or feel.
Those heavy hearts will never mend or heal.
Wars are always fought for just reasons.
Every side believes that the cause is just.
Yet, there are lives lost on every side.
Innocence has no place to run or hide.
The orphans of a thousand wars,
Will be parents of the future for a cause.
These shattered lives move forward in time.
We remember their scars in melancholic rhyme.
The sins of the fathers are visited on their children and grandchildren.
The emotional scars of war tend to affect the children, who will display the effects in various ways.
Forget scars; the world needs to unfold a white dove peace flag. Olive branch of light. Teach peace to children right from the beginning. Might is not right.
