The journey draws to an end and a grand conclusion.
There have been challenges you have faced.
There have been many failures along the way.
At times you were weary and ill and could not move.
Sometimes there were things you dared not say.
Enemies and friends, you have made along this way.
Whatever your struggles you worked every day.
There were oceans of troubles that had to be crossed.
Mountain most steep that needed to be climbed.
Seas and tranquil woods of calm and serenity.
You almost found Zen and the answer to eternity.
You have continued on your quest to find answers.
All you have heard were quiet and cryptic whispers.
The climb up this mountainous year was tough.
The conditions were seldom smooth and always rough.
The flag that you have carried with your dreams and ambitions,
Got too heavy at times and leaving it was a possible decision.
Still, you did not give up and now you have reached the year’s end.
