Shall We Write?
About anything and everything we think about
Just for today, we will write, and keep writing,
About anything, everything, and something,
That matters to us and does not make a difference,
To us, and to the world we live in today.
Let us write a poem about the breakfast,
That we had this morning, sweet oats,
Biscuits, two eggs after a restful sleep,
Four dreams, a cup of coffee and cream.
Perhaps we should write a story,
About the flower called morning glory.
Another story about a packed bus and a train ride,
A story about the shy groom and the blushing bride.
We could write something about those,
Who entered this world of ours today?
While we could write a sad and lonely tale,
About those who left our world today.
Shall we write a few more stories and poetry,
About the failures, we have turned into successes.
Novels about young men going out to find their fortune,
Stories about young women wearing colorful dresses.
Shall we write about the world we live in today?
About how we enjoy and use our freedom every day.
There is no need to always scream and shout,
There is always so much we can write and think about.
