We sometimes have the most creative or unusual thoughts. We have thoughts we reject when we think of them. We have thoughts we could develop into stories or poems as writers, but we forget about them and move on to more interesting thoughts, like Friday night’s takeaway or the planning of the Christmas bash, with family and friends.
We are constantly getting distracted by other thoughts that creep into our minds. Life is composed of a range of activities, that add to the hustle of bustle of living, working, and living. Your thoughts are invaluable and you need to hold onto those thoughts. Every idea that appears like a wisp of smoke in your mind, is a result of your life’s experiences.
Grab onto that wisp of an idea, and develop it into a literary piece. Who knows, it could be the start of an idea that develops into a short story worthy of Charles Dickens, “The Christmas Carol,” or a poem that is as wonderful as one composed by William Wordsworth or Percy Bysshe Shelley.
Like every drop of water collectively forms an ocean, likewise, your single thoughts collectively form your ocean of creative consciousness. The next time that you have an idea, write it down. Keep it at the back of your mind. Over the course of the day develop that idea in your mind. At the end of the day, you will find that you have a full-blown idea, that has come together in the creative vault of your mind to form either, an article, story, poem, or some type of literary piece for the world to enjoy.
