The waters are still and clear.
The ship does not move over here.
The skies have a lovely bluish sheen,
As the sun rises on the horizon.
This is the way it will always be,
For the ship locked in his memory.
The old man looked at the ship,
It brought a flood of memories.
Good times of working and living,
The life of a sailor on the open seas.
There were so many good times,
There were sad and tough ones too.
Bill’s life as a sailor was so exciting.
Every day was an adventurous life fulfilling.
He made lifelong friends on ships passing,
At night they would drink, dance and sing.
He was living his dream on the seas,
Discovering so many amazing cities.
As a child, his one dream was to see,
The endless stretches of an open sea.
The old sailor stared at the ship in the frame.
Knowing that he would sail on it once again,
When his life on land came to an end,
He would return to see his good old friend.
