I like to imagine that we are standing at the frontier of an AI revolution in the history of human civilization. We are surrounded by AI, what it is capable of doing and what it can accomplish in the modern world. Advances are being made in the field of artificial intelligence, which is having a positive impact on all fields of human endeavour, from science, medicine, agriculture, robotics and technology.
Do we like the pace at which AI is advancing and are we comfortable with what is being achieved and what could be accomplished in the future? No, we ordinary people are sceptical and wondering whether we will be able to cope and adapt to the changing ways in which we will be living and working in the future.
Where could all this progress and advancement be headed for human civilization? Will be replaced with a machine that is trained to think, work and act like a human being and is also capable of making independent decisions? All that may be true and we will have these synthetic robotic humans moving around and doing all the physical, mechanical and mundane tasks for us, day and night. We will become residents in villages, towns, cities and countries that never sleep. A world that is powered by AI, which takes care of our every need, from digital cryptocurrency to virtual careers that provide us with incomes.
In the future, AI, could in a matter of a few years, eradicate poverty and develop a system of empowering human beings of all races, nationalities and countries, to discover their humanity. We need to re-discover, the power of the human imagination, and creativity, as well as culture, traditions, and heritage, as we create new ones for a new age of artificial intelligence. Every human being will be free to develop their innate human abilities with the assistance of AI if we learn to work with this new unstoppable force.
We were never smarter than a search engine capable of providing us with links to a thousand sites when we searched with keywords, which was smarter than any human being. Therefore, we will and never could be smarter than a machine that creates and provides us with systems based on extremely large databases of human knowledge.
Al will always be capable of doing great things, now especially since quantum computing has been developed. It is now up to the creators, ideas people and scientists to get artificial intelligence to provide humanity with positive solutions, with far-reaching consequences, that will have a positive impact on the human race. Do you think that this would be possible in the future or will we be overwhelmed and ultimately destroyed by the “monster” we have all created, directly or indirectly, whether we wish to accept this or not? AI learns from everything that we do, even when we use something as simple as a grammar checker or a prompt for doing simple tasks on our mobile phones.
