There is an eternal flame that burns bright.
It keeps burning through thunder and rain.
It burns through days of struggle and pain.
The eternal flame always shines so bright,
Like a celestial candle in a starry night.
The bright flame of a human soul,
Burns brightly and makes a person whole.
The shining flame of every creature alive,
Burns in a star and within a bee in a hive.
The fire of creation is bright and always alive.
A flickering flame slowly and silently dies,
Right in front of our saddened and tearful eyes.
A flickering flame was once strong and tall,
It could not be budged and it would not fall.
The strongest flame also hears its Creator’s call.
That flame that comes from the fires of creation,
Needs no announcement, pomp or celebration.
The brightest flames claim the glories of the world.
Every celestial spark creates a fire of light and love.
The flickering flame returns to the universe above.
