Peace is what we need, Peace is what we want.
How can we all be safe and at ease,
When waves of discord surround us?
Groups who want their insensitive way of life,
People who break the rules for their reward.
They worship wealth and call it their God.
There is peace wherever we find writers and poets.
There is peace in the minds and hearts of humanity.
Yet, there is growing unrest, violence, and disturbance.
It can make anyone wince with the pain.
Where there should be happiness, joy, and unity?
There is hatred, anger, envy, and disdain.
It is time to stop the negativity and the pain.
Sometimes it feels that all we do,
It is so useless and so ineffective.
Are we not just ordinary puppets of wood?
Trying to change the world and to be good?
We are not the ones making great decisions.
We are not the ones making world policies.
We are not responsible for unknown projects,
That sucks the goodness out of the soil of the Earth,
All in the name of generating more productivity.
We are like puppets in this vampiric industry.
We are tiny cogs in the evil progress of great machinery.
We walk around with goodness in our tiny hearts.
Yet, those who make decisions for us are filled with hate.
Could those souls ever change or are we too late?
We dance the peace dance of loving humanity.
We are doing what our forefathers have always done.
We live, we love, we work, and celebrate challenges won.
Being peaceful, loving, caring, and sharing all we have.
Leaders of the world dance to their strange music.
They are engineered to lie and cheat like a magic trick.
We as individuals are just little pawns in this game,
Our actions can be quite inconsequential in life.
We have small orbits in which we dwell in life.
Misguided leaders of industry rule the world with force,
While we float like puppets down the river course.
Will this world ever change and we get enlightened leaders?
Perhaps the day will come when philosophers, poets, and writers rule,
Life will be a paradise from the factory, the office to the school.
It's funny how people, no matter who they are or where they come, learn to abuse others because they have power.
Anyone in power eventually abuses this power out of spite or greed.
I remember when there was white supremacy. We were so afraid that if black people received fair treatment, they'd hold power over us seeing that we were guilty of racism.
It's that fear that causes them to hate us and want to hurt us.
Losing reputation is a driving force that makes them put the pedal to the metal when they know they're going the wrong way. Very destructive since they know that their time is running out, that soon we'll all be equal.
Resonatingly beautiful.
Somehow being a third world citizen, I can relate to this so much, I can feel the pain.
What to do, what to do?
