Every day and in different time zones,
In countries far and wide, we are told.
People sit down to have their meals.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner, please.
We come together to share our lives,
Our love, our work over a meal.
We eat with our hands, with spoons, forks and knives.
Come and taste these dishes from across the seas,
Rice, chicken, meats, fish, lobster, noodles and peas.
There is a global banquet.
Everyone is invited to this great sharing.
Where food and drinks are served.
It is a moment of love, peace and caring.
All over the world, we sit separately,
Yet, we are sitting together as one people.
We are divided by time, space and oceans.
Yet, we sit together to share our meals.
We as human beings overcome barriers.
We need to be beings of love and peace carriers.
The divisions of language, race and religion,
Are walls that collapse slowly around us?
Come and taste these delectable delights from the world.
There is lamb, chicken and ham served with garlic pearls.
There is a global banquet,
Taking place and you are part of it.
You are taking part in this virtual global feast.
There is unity in diversity as we eat our meals.
There are delicious dishes that are a pure delight.
Every culinary experience is the best vision in sight.
Our tastebuds dance and our eyes gleam every morning and night.
Thank you for taking part in this global virtual banquet.
The largest table ever laid with every food for every palate.
Come and taste these dishes prepared for so many centuries.
Wholesome food from every land, mountains, rivers and seas.
