The Holiday of a Lifetime
What type of Holiday would you take?
Most of us love to go on a holiday. It could be a holiday to a new exotic place or to some old familiar spot, which we have visited for several years. Wherever, we go or do not go, especially for those who prefer a staycation, we all need to have a holiday to rejuvenate ourselves.
The multiple benefits of going on a holiday include reducing stress, increasing productivity, better sleep, improved physical health, fostering creativity, decreased blood pressure, improved relationships, there is less burnout and it is usually educational. Not to be forgotten is the fact that we have an opportunity to have a more relaxed lifestyle, and learn about another culture, with beliefs food and customs, which is invaluable.
Suppose for a minute, that you could have the holiday of a lifetime, one that you have always wanted as a child, young person and as a grown adult. Let us suspend ourselves in fantasy and believe that we can have an amazing holiday while going to a place that may or may not exist in the real world, where would you go?
Perhaps you could have your holiday in a resort-like Westworld, where all your fantasies are realities. You could live in the past or in the future. You could live in a world inhabited by your favourite literary, comic or movie character. Whose world would you like to step into, especially now with the development of AI and virtual reality, the sky is the limit.
I would love to inhabit the worlds of my favourite comic characters, like Superman, Batman, Green Lantern or Green Arrow, or the movie and literary worlds of Robin Hood, Lord of the Rings, Tolkien, Charles Dickens, William Shakespeare or the world of Sherlock Holmes or visit Shangri-La. What are your ideas for the holiday of a lifetime, real or imaginary?
