My Dearest Night,
It is lovely to see you sail across the world, in your shimmering silver gown, as the Moon shines her light over the dark and quiet land. The night is the perfect performance of the planets and the Earth, as she shuts her eyes, after a busy day. The world, nature, humanity and the celestial forces, take this time to relax, rejuvenate and drift into a splendid state of slumber.
My sweetest night, you do not promise us anything, yet you give us so much in humility and quiet serenity. Every shadow that moves across the land, bows down at your beauty. The skies, the stars and the planets adorn your amazing kingdom, in light, beauty, mystery and shadows.
My beloved night, I wait expectantly for you and I am so pleased to see you return to us so faithfully. I am not perfect, yet you accept me and humanity with our human frailties and gift us your solitude and calm every night so lovingly and faithfully.
It is time to say good night and I will close my eyes, and leave you to govern your kingdom of shadows, love and tranquillity. Dearest night, I will fall asleep as I hear your soulful melody that whispers your love over the dark and silent land.
