The Numbers of Writers Have Increased over the Past Decade
Are there too many writers, and is it good that there are so many who wish to express themselves?
Over the last decade, I have noticed that there are more people writing online. The numbers of writers and authors have increased according to studies conducted in the US and online. There are more people writing both fiction and non-fiction.
There are many benefits for writing, and it ranges from being a happier and healthier individual to developing a creative mindset. Writing regularly builds up resilience, gratitude and helps one to communicate more clearly. Writing is a personal growth tool, and it is a useful skill for mindful productivity.
Due to the presence of a number of writing platforms and communities online, writers have several places to express their creative and artistic ideas. The added bonus to writing online is that writers, have an opportunity to interact with several like-minded individuals. Writers need to share, brainstorm and discuss their ideas with other writers and readers.
Are there too many writers in the world today? I would say that there will never be enough writers in the world. There are billions of people inhabiting the world, and they all have their unique stories, that could be shared with the world. The world is full of billions of storytellers. I will be happy once every person on the planet, can be given an opportunity to write, create and share, their literary works with the world.
Competition is good for every writer, as it is bringing out their best skills and talents as he or she crafts their stories. Every writer wants readers to read their work. It is only by writing great content, with catchy titles and interesting subject, that attracts the most readers. If you are a writer, keep writing and never stop, as you build your literary work and legacy for the world to enjoy.
