It is the present and I am writing this piece,
I can see the Sun streaming through the window,
On a very cold and freezing London morning.
I am now in this present time today,
I am sipping a cup of coffee as the birds sing.
The ticking clock moves time round and round,
Taking it’s time to move it all round and around.
I think about the past, that has just slipped away.
The past is when I went to bed late last night.
The past is when I awoke this morning.
Time just seems to slip gently away.
I will repeat what I did yesterday, today.
The swinging pendulum marks every second,
As time floats and wafts in the wind.
I am in the present thinking about yesterday past.
I know that the present time will slowly pass.
I am thinking about this evening and tonight,
When I will return home and sleep tonight.
I have thought about the past and the future in sight.
The ticking clock ticks every second and hour,
Marking the growth of every being and flower.
I am however in this present,
I was present in the past.
I will also be present in the future today.
My soul is present throughout the day.
I am present in time every day.
Every second of our lives is calculated,
Our lives, loves and happiness are related.
The Calendar and the Clock,
Remind us that we are bound by time,
Those ticking chains that keep winding up,
Those clicking seconds that never go down.
Time exists before we watch time move around.
The Calendar reminds us of every day going by,
It reminds us that the months and years fly.
I will go so far as to say that if time does not exist,
We are just souls in time, as we live, love and persist.
If we forget the existence of time will it help our minds?
To view our lives and our existence in a new exciting way.
Would you exclude the concept of time every day?
Imagine the freedom that you would have day after day,
When you don’t hear a clock ticking, ticking away.
Whether I come to my own today or in ten years, I can cheerfully take it now, for I live in the present.
