“It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” — Confucius
Hachiman was a young, fierce, and loyal samurai to his King and Queen. He was given the task of escorting the young teenage princess, Hanako to a distant land, called the Americas. It would take them four months to reach their destination. The voyage was a difficult one and the waters were rough. There were many incidents along the way that made the voyage dangerous. One summer night, as Princess Hanako slept, samurai Hachiman kept watch. He heard strange noises coming from the sea. Suddenly he saw a sea beast like a dragon emerge from the depths of the sea. Hachiman alerted the other warriors and together they tried to kill the beast before it overturned their ship. Unable to stop the very persistent sea dragon, Hachiman dived into the waters. The Sea Dragon and Samurai Hachiman fought savagely. After an hour, it was all over, as the blood of the dragon covered the waters. Samurai Hachiman was victorious.
On the third month of their voyage across the ocean and the seas, Hachiman and Princess Hanako were close to reaching their destination. The ship was attacked by Pirate John Cutlass and his crew of rag-tag, criminals. The Samurai and his army put up a good fight but they were overpowered by the large band of ruffians. Samurai Hachiman could not find the Princess. The ship was taken to an island in the middle of the ocean. The crew along with Samurai Hachiman and his army were made prisoners. Samurai Hachiman was worried about the missing Princess.
Late that night a young sailor came to where the prisoners were locked away. It was the young Princess Hanako. She released Hachiman and his soldiers. They were about to escape when the pirate guards spotted them. There was a fierce battle between the pirates and Samurai Hachiman. He won the fight.
The warrior and his men took control of their ship and imprisoned all the pirates on the island. Samurai Hachiman and Princess Hanako, had fallen in love. They had to make a decision. Should he take Princess Hanako to get married to the President of the Americas or should he elope with her? Princess Hanako decided to live in the new land of the Americas as an ordinary person with Samurai Hachiman. This decision was made and the Samurai and his Princess were never heard from again in the Kingdom of Japan. The King and Queen were enraged, but young love had decided to change the course of their destiny.
