The Slippery Slope
How far do you slide before you stand?
You can slip, you could slide.
You could keep sliding and suddenly stop.
We have all gone done a slippery slope,
We know that there is still hope.
As every slippery slope does end,
When we reach the bottom of that slide.
There is somewhere to run away,
There is someplace we can hide.
We could get hurt and bruised,
As we go down a long and slippery slope.
We do learn that in future we should not go,
Down a slide if we have another place to go.
In life there are times when we slide,
So unexpectedly and we are surprised.
Later in life we definitely know,
What could lead us down a slippery slope.
We learn to adapt, train ourselves,
As we evolve in life and learn to cope.
The bottom of a slope is reached very soon.
It may not be the best stop and we may fall.
It could be that we land on our feet,
We do not stumble or fall over at all.
Go for a ride on a slippery slope today.
It will make you stronger and more prepared,
For whatever life may throw at you in any way.
