It was a small stream that arose,
From a tiny mountain spring.
The small stream flowed slowly down,
Till it reached the cracks in the ground.
Within that broken land and grass,
The tiny stream found its strength.
It was not long before the stream grew,
It was stronger and it was a brilliant blue.
The stream flowed lazily across the land.
The stream joined the flowing river.
The river embraced the stream in its mirth,
As it flowed and nourished humans and the earth.
We may feel that like the tiny stream,
We are alone, lost and disconnected,
From the world and all its myriad beings.
We are one with our lives and feelings.
The stream joined the river,
The river flowed with joy into the ocean.
Every life grows in love, peace and flower,
When it is nourished like a lovely flower.
The stream that joined the ocean,
Is like a life that follows in faith and love,
Knowing that life is connected to the source,
As the stream, river and ocean, follow its course.
