I have looked out through a number of windows and I have looked at a variety of windows throughout my life. Windows are so important and the most important windows for us, those who can see the world around us, is our eyes. Eyes are the windows to the soul, is a popular saying. You can know a lot about a person, by looking into their eyes, as some believe, I wonder if you think that this statement is true.
For individuals who are born blind, lose their eyesight or get poor eyesight as they age, they do value the power of vision gifted to them through eyesight. It is only through our eyes, that we can experience life, view and appreciate the world around us. For those with impaired vision, the whole concept of seeing take on a very different form. The blind and the visually impaired, use the power of their imagination, sense of touch and sound, to “see”, the world through their sightless windows.
The windows of a home are the eyes to the world outside. There are some individuals who enjoy looking out through their windows at home, at their gardens and the world outside. We can tell the weather outside, simply by observing the world outside. Poets and authors look out of their windows and receive inspiration. We look out of windows to appreciate the world outside.
Sunlight comes into a home through the windows, as do opportunities in life. Sunlight brings with it nourishment, growth and positive energy. When we seize opportunities which we receive, they make a difference to us in life, it can be either positive or negative. All opportunities are not always positive.
I enjoy looking out of my windows at the sunshine, the rain, the city, the streets, the skies and flocks of birds moving across the skies. I must not forget that I also enjoy watching lightning crackle overhead in an overcast sky. I also like to watch planes as they fly past my windows, as they leave white trails of vapour across the skies.
What do you enjoy looking at through your windows? I also like to admire the items people leave outside their windows, from potted plants, to stuffed toys, curios and their pets. Do you observe the windows of other homes and offices and what do you think about windows in general and the windows that you have opened in your life?
