Time to Put Your Skates On
We are moving towards 2025

Things to do and places to go,
As well as people to see.
These words come to me.
“Time to put your skates on, Son,
It is time to get the work done”.
Those are the words my father would say,
When there was something, I had to do.
Words are powerful we all know.

This December, it is time to celebrate,
With Christmas cake, food and red wine.
Complete the jobs for this year and steam ahead.
Rest, relax and dream tonight in your bed.
Put your skates on and zip forward,
To a New Year of great possibilities.
Make your plans and list your goals,
The holy man walks on red hot coals.
Refresh your mind like evergreen trees.
Count your blessings and gather your strength,
Get ready humanity to live like busy bees.
