To Get People to Read Your Work
Create a Reader's circle of writers and readers
Most of the articles, stories and poems that I write get a handful of readers. If an article does get boosted then the readers increase your views and your earnings. Several writers face the same problem. How do we get more views from readers and increase our earnings?
I do not appreciate the norm, “I will follow you if you follow me” practise. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I follow those writers; whose writings resonate with me and who I feel share my way of writing and thinking. However, having said this, I do also read new writers, so that I can vary my reading experience.
In my opinion, the best way to get more people to read and enjoy your work is to form a Readers Circle.
Here are the main elements to creating your circle and why it is important and so vital to enrich your writing and reading experience.
1. Find, follow and connect with those writers and their works that resonate with you.
2. Share the work of writers that you enjoy reading.
3. Engage with writers on a regular basis.
4. Give useful feedback, for every piece that you read and enjoy.
5. Invite writers to join your Writer's Circle.
6. Share the work of writers on social media platforms.
7. Connect with writers on common social media platforms and have conversations with them.
8. Pick a theme a week or a month and get your writing circle to write literary pieces.
9. Meet regularly with your writing circle online and offline if possible.
