We are trying to get readers to read our work. However, in most instances, we fail. Is there a secret method that you can learn to get your followers to read and share your work? There must be because there are so many writers who have a large following of readers and so receive a lot of income from their work.
Here are the ways to get more readers to read your work:
Write from the Heart: If you write passionately from the heart about something that you are interested in, then your readers will also feel that in your work.
What interests your readers? It is always good to know exactly what your readers want to read. Once you know what interests your readers, you will be able to provide them with just that information.
Provide Solutions: Everyone has something that they need to solve in life, from fixing the kitchen sink to creating a good story or a great character for a story. As a writer, you need to provide your readers with solutions, depending on the niche. If you are writing about carpentry, then provide our reader with solutions to their problems. If you write about event planning, then offer a solution to common problems. If you are a fiction writer, then present a major problem, for the character of your novel or story and then resolve the conflict of the story, with a great solution that will leave your audience wanting to read more of your work.
Titles: A great title, with the right powerful words for your article, story, or novel will hook the readers. The readers need to be curious about your story.
Cover and illustrations: A great cover, with just the right image to illustrate the story, will attract the reader.
First Chapter: The first chapter and the first paragraph of your novel, story, or article, will grip the reader, making your novel a page-turner.
Make Your Writing Magnetic: Infuse your writing with emotion, color, and passion. Give your characters great personalities, that should be believable and yet filled with power. The reader does not want to read about perfect people, but heroes with faults and failings.
Finally, we as writers, if we want to be successful financially, need to keep in mind, that we are writing our literary pieces, to entertain, serve, and educate our readers, with solutions to common issues faced in life. If a reader requires escapism, then you as a writer need to provide it. If a reader needs thrills, action, romance, and adventure, then you as a writer need to write a story that serves all those elements to the reader.
