In 1492 the Italian Navigator and Explorer,

The adventurous Christopher Columbus,

Discovered the New World of the Americas,

Following the maps, the moon and the stars.

His epochal voyage changed the myths of travel,

The world was not flat like a dinner plate,

That was an old notion so out of date.

We see travellers travelling every day,

From one destination to the next,

They travel by air, land and sea,

They seem to travel through eternity.

All travellers seem to have blank faces,

As they rush with tickets and travel cases.

Yet, they are not the same travellers,

Doing these journeys every single day,

Some for pleasure some for monthly pay.
