There are stories we hear,
There are stories we know.
Listening to great stories,
Is how we learn and grow.
There are legends and myths,
Those that tell us tall tales.
There are folklores and ballads,
Great stories akin to literary salads.
We are all storytellers,
Whether we want to be or not.
We all weave stories of silver and gold,
About lives courageous, fearsome and bold.
Every myth was created in a mind,
Of a human of a very special kind.
The Storyteller saw the seed of the myth,
Knowing that it would grow to become a hit.
Dreams have evolved into great stories,
Powerful legends that have seen the light.
Nightmares have been captured in story,
Savage, violent, brutal and bloody gory.
Everyone is a born Storyteller,
Planting the seeds of stories everywhere.
Weaving stories of joy and stories for shedding tears.
Is what Storytellers have been doing over the years.
We live our stories.
Love this poem! So true, we all weave stories into our lives!
