In my opinion there are benefits in restarting any project in life. As a school student, I remember that I had a knack of doing my examination papers wrong the first time, particularly, with mathematics and accounting. They were not my favourite subjects but I was drawn to them. Inevitably, I would answer one of the questions wrong, realize that there was an error, then re-do the whole answer once again to my satisfaction.
In life, I have found that restarting a project or a job of any scale is also a type of learning experience. I knew my mistakes and then avoided doing them the second or the third time, to make it a success. It does help to do things over and over again to get it right, as it helps us to spot errors.
My dad, who was a writer, wrote several drafts, before he finalized and typed the third draft of his work. Repetition does help, as it opens up our mind to the potential of the work that we are attempting, and it also helps us to improve the work.
Most writers usually work to an outline, just as artists need a sketch before they create their masterpiece. I have always loved looking at blueprints (planes, trains, buildings, automobiles) and house-plans, I enjoy watching the simple lines that design objects and places of such complexity.
What are the benefits of restarting any project in your opinion and do you feel that it is sometimes worthwhile to do so? I would love to know your thoughts about restarting anything in life. There are some people who restart their lives, like those of immigrants who move from one country to another. Some do this move from one country to another by choice, while others are forced to do this migration due to unhealthy circumstances. Those people literally restart their lives, though their circumstances are completely different and they begin their lives in a new country, with its challenges and opportunities.
