What Happens When AI can Think, Feel and Bleed?
Is it possible that AI has become more human than humans?
The year is 2040 and the “Ivy High Project”, has released its latest creation, through the AI company “Cloned Geniuses”, a new generation of humanoids that think, feel, and bleed. The “AI Humin 2.0” is released to public acclaim. There was a big launch and global news coverage of the event. The presenter appeared on stage, a smart looking lady with long black hair introduced herself as Angela. She called on the Director, Alex Charleston on “Cloned Geniuses” to say a few words, in the inauguration speech.
“We at cloned geniuses are at the forefront of the latest technological innovations, in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics. Thank you for accompanying us on this incredible journey. What was previously science fiction is now our reality. Here are a few videos for you to enjoy and to think about getting your next AI Humin 2.0.” Alex Charleston walks off-stage and the presentation begins.
In the video we see a young man, cycling, running, throwing a javelin, completing in sports and winning medals. Later, a couple appear on screen and inform the audience, that Justin is their son. Their only son passed away six years ago. Justin is an AI Humin 2.0, who is just like a human, and who will inherit the wealth of his parents, who happen to be millionaires.
The next video is about a young lawyer, Susan, who has a well-established law firm in the city. Susan has won a number of civil and criminal cases, over the years. At the end of the video, it is revealed that Susan passed away a year ago, but her work is continued by Susan the AU Humin 2.0 version, who continues her work and is part of her human experience. The human Susan’s memories were implanted into the humanoid AI Susan.
The third video, starts with an elderly man sitting in meditation in a cave. There is a strange light emanating from him. After a few minutes, we observe a large computer screen coming on, and we see an extra-terrestrial landscape. After a few seconds, an alien creature, with the appearance of a jackal, comes on screen. The creature speaks in a strange language. The mouth of the elderly hermit opens, and he speaks in English, translating the words of the alien creature.
“Thank you, for contacting us. We would like to visit your world and exchange our knowledge with humans, through artificial intelligence, about life on other worlds.”
The video narrator, informs the viewer that the new AI Humin 2.0, are being used successful by several scientific projects around the world to communicate with extra-terrestrials in their languages, which would be impossible for humans to communicate, but which is possible for AI.
The young lady, Angela, appears on the stage, she trips and falls and injures herself. The cameras take us to where Angela has fallen. She has sprained her ankle and blood pours out from a wound on her arm. After a few minutes, the First-Aid team arrive to attend to Angela. The camera shifts back to Helen, and we see the ankle being repaired and the wound healing on its own, after the medical team, press a small eruption at the back of Angela’s neck.
The audience is shocked, when they realize, that the young presenter is a humanoid, who bleeds and feels pain just like a human, as tears roll down her cheeks.
Is it possible that AI has become more human than humans, or is artificial intelligence the next stage in humanity’s evolution?
