Would You Go Back to the Past if the Present is not Favourable?
There would be regrets for sure for everyone
There are some people who love living in the present. The present is where the magic happens, and it is where anything is possible. Life happens in the present, and it is teeming with opportunities and challenges for us. We know that we can always surge forward in the present and move towards the future, knowing that our dreams will reach fruition.
On the other hand, we are prone to make mistakes in the present. There are some errors, that we make in the present, which can be remedied, while there are others that cannot be corrected. There are events, and happenings in the present, which we have power to change and those which are beyond our control.
Would you go back to the past if you are not happy with the present? There are some individuals who would be willing to walk back in time to the way things used to be. They want to make certain that disappointments, failures and missed opportunities are avoided. Our minds expand by the things we do, think and react to in life. Once expanded it is difficult to go back. The past also has its fair share of regrets and disappointment, which not many would like to meet. I feel that the best course of action is to learn from past mistakes and to move forward in life.
WRITING PROMPT: Would You Go Back to the Past if the Present is not Favourable?
People do it, or try it, all the time. Rarely for the judgment of third parties.
We have the ability to travel back in time whenever we want and thus alter the future. That's easy. You use your memory and analyse the past. You learn lessons and plan for the future differently. It's mostly an emotional process, as we only remember what was emotionally important to us. Anyone can do that. It's another thing to travel back in time and change the present. That's completely different. I have a question about that. If I go back to the past and change the present, I certainly won't still be myself, I won't recognise myself, probably most of the people around me will be different. Time is a continuous line, so if we alter that line, we'll retrace the entire journey after the point where we altered the past. It's very dangerous, it changes everything I am and the whole dynamic of the Universe. So even though I have regrets, changing time and its journey is a very dangerous game. Who can guarantee that I'd come out of that game alive?
So my answer is no, I wouldn't go back to the past to change the present
