Why Do you write?
The big threat of AI is darkening the doors,
Of every writer and every creator in the world.
Will we writers be replaced by artificial intelligence?
Will all that we have written be forgotten in time?
Wherever you look you will find it, low or high.
The world is now overcome with generative AI.
Writers now complain at length about AI.
Our writings are being replaced and censored.
Our creativity is coming under scrutiny.
What will we write that has not been written?
How can we compete with writers who use AI?
Some writers train AI models,
To write as well and even better than human writers.
Human writers are not perfect creators,
Of stories, poems, articles and blogs.
AI generative programs can create great pieces,
A few could also resemble human masterpieces.
What would have the great writers done,
If their work was all replaced by machine code,
Perfectly created, woven, threaded and spun?
They would just keep writing because they love it.
Writing is inherent in human nature no doubt about it.
If you are a writer like you and I are today.
You will not allow anything to come in the way.
Forget about the pennies and pence you earn today.
Writers of old could never manage to survive anyway.
However, they still wrote about their visions and dreams.
A few had low-paying jobs to meet their daily needs.
For many to be a success was a last and final wish.
Many creative dreamers died penniless.
True writers write because they have a voice and want to be heard.
They do not follow the complaining and money-driven herd.
True writers and creators enjoy their work with passion.
They do not care if they make fortunes or nothing at all.
Get a proper job till your creativity can finally pay.
After all, you need to survive day to bloody day.
True writers and creators do not worry two hoots about AI.
They only want their creativity and creations to soar and fly.
True writers and creators keep creating because they love it.
Creating something from air and nothing is the perfect fit.
If you were born to be a writer,
You will write and write every single bloody day.
You will not worry about big cash flows coming your way.
You will not worry about earning pennies for your work.
If you were born to be a writer,
You will keep writing whether AI replaces you or not.
You write because writing is your life purpose.
A true writer does not go around making such a fuss.
If you are afraid of being replaced with AI,
You do know that it will be present even after we die.
A true writer knows himself and loves his or her craft,
They will not stop writing for anything, do not be daft.
