Writing Prompt: Reaching Breaking Point
Have you seen or experienced this feeling of things becoming unbearable?
Most of us have heard the expression, “reaching breaking point”. This is when events keep occurring and the person involved is unable to handle it any longer and it results in him or her having a nervous breakdown, or doing something unreasonable in life.
A few of us have experienced “reaching breaking point”, at some time in our lives. When things just get too much, we need to walk away from the situation to come back to handle it in a better frame of mind. It could be that there is an accident or a death and one person needs to shoulder all the responsibilities. It could also be that things at work seem to be piling up and there is no way to gain control. It is at these times, when you feel that you are “reaching breaking point”, that you need to slow down. To step back, study the situation, and return to it with a management plan.
