Writing Prompt: Why do some writers enjoy being agitated?
There are some individuals who always appear to be agitated. The slightest issues make them upset and annoyed. In most cases these people may have health issues and being agitated is a warning sign. Do you know people who are always agitated and seem to enjoy the emotion of agitation?
There are also writers, who write on popular social media platforms who appear to be agitated in the way they express themselves through their writings. Does it help to be agitated as a writer and does it help the writer to clarify his or her feelings on the topic being written?
Was Shakespeare, Hemingway, Twain, Alcott and Dickens, writers who were agitated and did this irritation and agitation help them to become great writers? A number of writers get annoyed about certain issues in society and decide to voice their opinions. Writing in this state of mind helps the writer to bring all the scattered thoughts together in one place. No doubt, the literary piece will need to be polished, edited and changes made to make it coherent, powerful and effective in getting the message across.
I believe that if a small degree of agitation is handled properly, when writing, it can create a powerful literary piece. On reflection, most of the classics written by popular authors are focused on social issues, that the writer wanted to highlight in his or her writings.
