The end of the year draws near,
It is time to cherish all that we have,
To keep away anxiety and fear.
November was the ninth month,
Now it is the eleventh month of the year.
In London the end of autumn is near.
The days are bright and the nights dark.
There is not much activity in the park.
You can hear the sound of the flying lark.
The morning and the nights are cooler,
The end of autumn draws so much nearer.
November heralds the end of this year.
The sharp gusty winds blow,
Here for us in the city of London.
We rush home when work is done.
Welcome cool and rainy November,
Thank you for preparing us for December.
When winter comes and Christmas is near.
