I understand the sentiment of being grateful, regardless of whether one celebrates Thanksgiving or not.

There are numerous reasons why individuals may require assistance. When Jesus instructed us to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and so on, He did not specify that they needed to be deserving of our aid. We are simply instructed to extend a helping hand. Regardless of whether or not you celebrate Thanksgiving Day, it is important to take the opportunity to express gratitude. Personally, I don't recall ever celebrating Thanksgiving in my South African πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦ home, so the holiday may hold a different meaning for me. However, it is crucial to consider other factors. Are we passing judgment on who is deserving of our generosity?

There are numerous reasons why people may be in need of assistance. When Jesus instructed us to feed the hungry and clothe the naked, he never mentioned that they had to prove their worthiness of our aid. We are simply called to extend a helping hand without conditions.
