Is Waking Up a Delightful Experience or Far from It?
Do you get up happy or Sad?
A few people are like the ones you watch in the old movies, like Charles Chaplin, Danny Kaye, Laurel and Hardy, as well as Fred Flintstone, who leap out of bed ready for a day’s work. Do you happen to be such a person who jumps out of bed, singing, dancing and ready to start a new day, in all types of weather?
The first thing that I do as I awake from sleep every morning is to fold the sheets, move the pillows and get the bed ready for when we go back to sleep at night. I like to ensure that the sheets are nicely tucked in, the pillows look fluffy and nice, and everything looks just perfect, as if no one had slept in the bed. Are you the one who leaves the bed for your partner or spouse to settle or do you prefer doing it because you just enjoy the process?
There are some people who are grumpy when they get up from sleep. I am in a daze when I awake from sleep, neither happy nor sad. Are you the type of person who gets up from sleep and breaks into song and does a bit of a dance? You are definitely the picture of positivity.
Perhaps, you are the person who awakes in a depressed mood and gradually brightens up during the course of the day, after a refreshing cup of coffee or tea. Do you get up happy or sad and what is the reason for the happiness or sadness? Are you excited about what the day holds or are you disappointed for another day filled with mundane tasks ahead?
Most of us are living in B.C. times: Before Coffee... I always wake up with a state of urgency, for I know that all those moments in my past will be lost in time, like tears in the rain.
I haven't slept well since Covid...so waking up is just getting up.
