I see my struggles as wrestling with the angel, like Jacob in Genesis 32:22-26 NIV... And I said to my pain that, "I will not let you go unless you bless me."

Forgiveness is a cheek turned from the slap of those lips that spoke with spite and righteously wrong.

Angels fall from the darkness of sky--orbs of golden glow seen in a pure heart’s light within the mighty forgiven.

That is very true. Angels are usually not visible. The angel in the poem, is just a statue nothing more and nothing less. The poet saw the statue as a living angel in stone.
