Thank you Orla. I blended fact with fiction. Mum passed away 18 years ago and Dad passed away this year. I only have one sister, but the story about the tree was the fact in the fiction. I remember the Christmas tree event, with gifts and sweets, he would have for underprivileged children of the neighbourhgood and from parishes in the city, every year since the age of nineteen. It was part of his tradition as a young man, that he did till last year, not missing a year. :)
