My history as a writer - at least when it comes to novels - is that I'll get on a roll and write every day for months at a time. But then I'll take a break which ends up lasting longer than I had planned. This is when I feel guilty.
I don't feel guilty if I don't write everyday because you can burn yourself out. But, when I'm working with a schedule, I try to at least write 1,500 words a day. It just depends on what's scheduled for that month.

Thanks for your feedback, Jim. It does make sense, to keep writing, as long as you are inspired and motivated.
The big breaks after completing a novel, can be depressing and lead to feeling guilty, which makes sense. Keep writing :)

It does help to have a plan or method in play, to make it interesting and less tiresome. Thank you, Rena, for your feedback.
