Rejection letters don't bother me much, but I need a thicker skin when it comes to reviews from strangers who don't like my work to the point that they seem almost angry. Those kinds of reviews -- though thankfully rare -- tend to bum me out for a little while and give rise to the dreaded imposter syndrome many of us have at some level.
You have the right attitude, Jim. Never let them get the better of you and control your emotions and destroy your writing spirit. Move forward good writer and do what you enjoy best in life, which is to Write, Write and Write some more. :)
I was never interested in being traditionally published so I haven't had to deal with rejection letters.
That is a great attitude to have, Rena. I am pleased to know that you like independent publishing, as I do too. :)
Excellent!
